The industry-first 9kWh sustainable power supply was recognized as outstanding alternative to traditional power solutions.
SHELTON, Conn. - May 16th, 2024 - Anton/Bauer a leading manufacturer of mobile power solutions and a Videndum brand, has received the prestigious sustainability award at NAB for Salt-E Dog, the 9kWh sodium-powered battery.
Launched in 2023, the NAB Excellence in Sustainability Awards recognizes individuals, companies, and products/services for outstanding innovations in the media technology sector that promote sustainability and foster economic and social development.
The judges selected Salt-E Dog as the winner in the Sustainable Product or Service category, highlighting Anton/Bauer’s commitment to tackling the pressing issue of carbon emissions associated with traditional fossil fuel or lithium generators. Using sodium chemistry, Salt-E Dog offsets greenhouse gas emissions, allowing cine and broadcast productions to offset 2.6 kg of CO2 and associated NOx per litre of fuel saved, contributing to a greener future. The sodium cell is 100% recyclable and has a much lower GWP (Global Warming Potential) rating than lithium-ion batteries, at only 62.68Kg CO2 eq/ kWh.
