Peter MacAvock (Head of Delivery, Platforms and Services, EBU Technology and Development, DVB Chairman)

Peter Lanigan (Senior Manager, Standardisation, TP Vision)

Peter MacAvock is Head of Delivery, Platforms and Services, EBU Technology and Development, and DVB Chairman. At the EBU, he heads the team responsible for innovation projects relating to delivery technologies, spectrum management and software platforms. Among other things, he is responsible for spectrum matters and high-level projects related to Hybrid Radio and Television including HbbTV, DVB, RadioDNS and others. In July 2016, he was elected Chairman of the DVB Project, and retains a role as co-chair of the HbbTV Requirements Group. He is an Irish national living and working in Switzerland.

Peter Lanigan works in various standards bodies and other industry associations on behalf of TP Vision, the manufacturer of Philips TVs for Europe and a number of other territories. Topics covered include broadcast and IP technologies, smart TV, advanced picture quality, content security, and national and European regulation. He sits on the Board of CI Plus LLP and chairs the DVB CM-I group, which manages the commercial requirements for the new DVB-I standard for linear TV delivery over IP networks.
