Tascam introduces a rugged and reliable, professional-grade Blu-ray player building on the success of its predecessor BD-01U. The new BD-MP1 incorporates dynamic features such as HDCP and power-on playback as well as protective user control options being the perfect choice for a wide range of commercial installations, including public, educational and commercial facilities, theaters, amusement and entertainment businesses, to name a few.
The compact, single rack space BD-MP1 saves space by eliminating the need for discrete audio/video playback devices in an installed rack, accepting a broad range of media and file formats in three different ways: disc tray (Blu-ray/DVD/CD), USB flash or SD card. All playback functions can be accessed locally from the front panel but can also be locked to prevent accidental changes or non-authorized use. Moreover, the product can be controlled via RS-232C or Ethernet making it the ideal choice for integrated media systems.
For professional audio quality in virtually any installation, the BD-MP1 offers 7.1 Surround Sound connectors, XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced stereo outputs as well as a coaxial digital out for Dolby, DTS and other digital audio formats. Playback of two-channel linear PCM is also supported.
