After 60 years almost fully dedicated to high-end zoom lens design and production, since the introduction of the first Angenieux 4x zoom lens in 1956, the French manufacturer Angenieux completes its offer and presents at IBC 2019 - Hall 12 / booth E36 - for the first time publicly in Europe, the new Optimo Prime Series for Full Frame.

Designed to accurately match the look and feel of Angenieux’s long-celebrated Optimo zoom series both physically and optically; the Optimo Prime series comprises a key addition to the professional cine lenses currently available.
Productions and cinematographers now have at disposal a complete range of cine optics perfectly matching, responding all their shooting needs or desires, and adapted to the latest generations of camera sensor sizes. The Optimo Prime series perfectly completes the Angenieux FF zoom lens offer, including the brand new Optimo Ultra 12x.
The Optimo Prime Series of 12 lenses provides full frame 46.5mm image circle coverage with a consistent 1.8 T-stop (except on extremes). Available as PL and LPL and designed as smart lenses, the Optimo Prime Series is very compact and lightweight. They support both Cooke/I and Arri LDS.
Focal lengths include 18mm, 21mm, 24mm, 28mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 60mm, 75mm, 100mm, 135mm, 200mm and will be manufactured both in France and Germany, final quality check being done at Angenieux.

- The 9-lens set - gold set - including 18mm, 21 mm, 28mm, 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm, 100mm, and 135mm.
- The 6-lens set - silver set - including 21mm, 28mm, 40mm, 50mm, 75mm and 135mm.
Preorders for Silver, Gold or Platinum sets are available now.
First deliveries are planned for summer 2020.

Following the successful business model settled for the Angenieux Type EZ zoom lens series, the Full Frame Optimo Prime Series is the result of a successful renewed partnership between Angenieux, Jebsen Industrial Technology Co LTD and Band Pro Film & Digital in the US.
Sales and distribution of the new Optimo Prime lenses are handled in the Americas by Band Pro; in Europe, Africa, Eurasia, India and Middle-East by Angenieux and in Asia-Pacific by Jebsen.
