This year Greece will be present in a series of digital events and networking opportunities designed by TLG FOCUS, especially for registered participants. Professionals will be able to interact with representatives from EKOME and the Hellenic Film Commission to learn more about the implementation of the Greek cash rebate (40%) and tax relief (30%) investment incentives for audiovisual works production including how Greece supports international audiovisual productions planning to film in Greece by providing information, advice, and guidance.
Εxperts from EKOME and the Hellenic Film Commission are ready to present the incentive programs, the national network of Film Offices across 13 regions and two major municipalities, safety guidelines on filming, and new approaches to audiovisual production for the post-Covid era in Greece.
A panel discussion by the title “Filming in Greece against all odds”,“Filming in Greece against all odds”, on December 16, focuses on the current filming environment in Greece. Moderated by Variety correspondent Christopher Vourlias, Vasiliki Diagouma (EKOME) and Venia Vergou (HFC) discuss with representatives of two high profile international productions, Kostas Kefalas of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter”and Erik Hemmendurff of Ruben Östlund’s “Triangle of Sadness”, which successfully wrapped filming in Greece in November 2020.
