Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium specialists will unveil significant DRM news and make important announcements during its impactful, in-person presence at IBC 2025, Amsterdam, the Netherlands (12th-15th September).
For this IBC edition, the DRM Consortium is putting the spotlight on receivers, additional services, and the rich benefits of the standard and its distribution.

There will be a particular focus on recent developments (i.e. digital radio decisions announced in China, Pakistan, Nigeria etc.), receivers (latest updated versions and the launch of a new DRM-DAB app available in Play Store), additional services, like the Emergency Warning Functionality – EWF and eLearning), and the overall benefits of the standard and its distribution on all frequency bands, including VHF band III.

According to the DRM Chairman, Ruxandra Obreja, “the theme of this year’s IBC is perfectly aligned with the DRM message of ensuring your connected future. Enabling modern content in very good audio quality, accompanied by rich multimedia, delivering emergency warnings (EWF) and distance learning are just some of the aspects we will illustrate at IBC 2025. We are excited about all the new announcements to be made by our members in Amsterdam. DRM is making progress in many key countries of the world. In these turbulent times, global DRM is a robust, 21st century digital platform which saves energy and spectrum; alone, among other options, DRM can ensure modern, full-country coverage.”
