The consoles of two of the six studios installed in 2005 by AEQ have been renovated.
Radio Vigo is a local station that broadcasts for the city of Vigo and the municipalities of its metropolitan area, as well as for the Baixo Miño region, reaching a population of 500,000 inhabitants.
It is the radio of Vigo, since Vigo has had a radio, being a pioneer in Galicia, starting its broadcasts on April 24, 1934. It is managed by the Radio Vigo Group and has belonged to the network of Cadena SER stations since 1957.
The Radio Vigo studios were digitized in 2006 on the occasion of the transfer to the building on Calle Arenal 8, installing an AEQ BC 2000D matrix to link the 6 BC 2000D consoles via MADI that share its spectacular central studio.
Radio Vigo produces local programming and that of its area of influence from its stations: Radio Vigo Cadena SER, SER Baixo Miño, Cadena DIAL Rías Baixas, LOS40 Vigo and LOS40 CLASSIC Vigo, being the reference communication group and audience leader in the south of Galicia.
Now, RADIO VIGO has updated its equipment and has replaced two AEQ BC 2000D consoles with more than 15 years of uninterrupted operation, for the current AEQ Forum IP Split consoles, with touch screen and Forum Screen application, which today are connected via MADI to the central router, open to changing to an asynchronous IP link when the evolution of the technological update of the rest of the studios and matrix, make it convenient.
RADIO VIGO Cadena SER control studio:
In the main studio, a FORUM IP SPLIT console has been installed with 4 modules of 4 faders, which work in A/B configuration, making a total of 16 x 2 = 32 channels on the control surface.
The installed input and output capacity is: 32 analog line inputs, 32 analog line outputs, 8 AES/EBU stereo digital inputs and 8 outputs, 4 stereo USB inputs and 4 outputs, two MADI cards for fiber optic connection of up to 64 audio signals each. As a technical curiosity, it does not include microphone channels, since the shared booth operation means that the consoles that work with this booth receive the audio at line level from a battery of preamplifiers installed in 2005 that access the matrix and that are preserved given their neutral character.
In addition, it has a set of common inputs and outputs: self - operated microphone input, control and studio monitoring, control and studio headphones.
LOS40 CLASSIC VIGO Control studio:
The installed input and output capacity is: 16 analogue line inputs, 16 analogue line outputs, 4 AES/EBU stereo digital inputs and 4 stereo digital outputs, 4 stereo USB inputs and 4 stereo USB outputs, two MADI cards for fibre optic connection of up to 64 audio signals each. This console does include two microphone channels, as it has guest stations outside the shared booth.
This version also includes the following common inputs and outputs: auto-control microphone input, control and studio monitoring, control and studio headphones.
In the studio of this Radio Formula, a FORUM IP SPLIT console has been installed with two 4-fader modules, which work in A/B configuration, making a total of 8 x 2 = 16 channels on the control surface
The installed input and output capacity is: 16 analog line inputs, 16 analog line outputs, 4 AES/EBU stereo digital inputs and 4 outputs, 4 stereo USB inputs and 4 outputs, two MADI cards for optical fiber connection of up to 64 audio signals each. This console does include two microphone channels, since it has guest stations outside the shared booth.
This version also includes the following common inputs and outputs: self – operated microphone input, control and studio monitoring, control and studio headphones.
AEQ FORUM IP Split is a mixing console designed for ONAIR radio & TV control.
