AEQ mixers are integrated in the faculty of Communication of the RAMON LLULL UNIVERSITY of Barcelona.
Among the activities of the Faculty are: Degree in Audiovisual Communication and Degree in Journalism and Corporate Communication. They also develop specialization and postgraduate courses, such as script and radio production.
Blanquerna radio studios are an important part for the development of training practices at the different levels courses. Media Department CTO Mr. Miquel García, always try to offer the latest technology at the service of the students in the faculty: computer and audiovisual technology are perfectly integrated with the academic and practical needs of the studies, a fact that facilitates learning and research.
That is the reason for replacing the two original analogue consoles in the radio studios now with the AEQ Forum Split digital ones, which have the functionality of modern consoles, and which, given its popularity, may even be the equipment with which many of the Spanish professionals trained at Blanquerna center will find in their future on a daily basis.
AEQ FORUM SPLIT is a mixer designed for ONAIR emission control. It incorporates all the basic features necessary in this type of environment: automatic monitor cut-off, cough cut-off, fader-start, signaling control, control signals for the automation of external equipment, management of external communications, intercommunication, etc.
With a modular design and reduced size, AEQ FORUM IP adapts perfectly to different scenarios: self-control, booth-control, television production controls, sound production, mixed configurations, integration in large installations, etc.
In this Blanquerna project AEQ FORUM are adapted to the control configuration of the radio studios. Each console has 4 modules of 4 faders and a control module.
AEQ FORUM can handle 8 microphones in the booth and one for self-control, it also has 8 line inputs and 8 outputs, two telephone hybrids and four AES/EBU inputs and outputs.
It incorporates the visualization application and helps the ForumScreen operation, which shows the VU meters of the main signals on an external screen, while speeding up the work of level regulation and process configuration, in addition to other functions.
