Wheatstone AoIP Unit Wins 2021 NAB Show Product of Year.

“Our new Blade 4 is built on an AoIP hardware architecture that lets us put almost the entire studio on the IP audio network so that processing, codecs, and mixing are easily routable and changeable.”

New Bern, NC, US, November 8, 2021 - Wheatstone’s new Blade 4 was named a 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year winner in the Audio Production, Processing and Networking category.

Blade 4 is Wheatstone’s fourth generation I/O unit for its WheatNet-IP Intelligent Network and includes full AoIP I/O and intelligence with routable audio control, codecs, processing, mixing, operating system and NMOS/AES67 interoperability in 1 RU.

“Broadcasters are no longer tied to location or ways of working and we believe that studios shouldn’t be either. Our new Blade 4 is built on an AoIP hardware architecture that lets us put almost the entire studio on the IP audio network so that processing, codecs, and mixing are easily routable and changeable,” said Wheatstone’s Vice President of Technology Andrew Calvanese.

NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 16 categories and announced in a live awards ceremony on NAB Amplify on November 3. “Nominees like Wheatstone are revolutionizing the way people experience media and entertainment,” said NAB Executive Vice President of Conventions and Business Operations Chris Brown. “The 2021 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards highlight the best of what’s new and celebrates the breakthroughs and advancements within the content industry.”
