New Ethernet Tunnel feature for Quantum2 units.

Prodys latest innovation – the Ethernet Tunnel - is revolutionising remote commentary workflows.

The Ethernet Tunnel is designed to seamlessly link two remote local networks through Quantum2 units, leveraging all existing network interfaces to create a single virtual network. This breakthrough technology allows operators in the studio to control devices connected to a remote unit via IP commands, including PTZ cameras and other devices based on multicast or broadcast commands.

By integrating this feature, Prodys simplifies the operational workflow for commentators in the field, freeing them from the complexities of remote device management. With the Ethernet Tunnel, devices become directly accessible and controllable from the Master Control Room (MCR), streamlining the overall production process, and enhancing the efficiency of remote commentary setups.

The Ethernet Tunnel employs state-of-the-art encryption techniques at OSI Layer 2, ensuring data travels securely and confidentially across networks. This robust security measure guarantees that sensitive information is protected during transmission.

The Ethernet Tunnel functionality is available in both Quantum2 and Ikusnet3 encoders, catering to a variety of deployment needs with both portable and stationary units.
