Radio Vitamenia is the municipal radio station of the town Santa Maria de Palautordera near Barcelona – Spain. The radio is a veteran of the regional audiovisual scene founded in 1981, since its inception has offered a varied programming with a clear vocation of local information, musical or entertainment programs, as well as regional and national sports coverage.
Radio Vitamenia has always broadcasted on the 91.5FM dial, but in 2022 the station launched its new website with streaming service, as well as podcast offerings on Ivoox and Spotify platforms, in parallel to an ambitious plan to attract the youngest audience of the moment called Radio Random.
Currently the technical management of the company has decided to renovate its main broadcasting studio where of course AEQ digital technology occupies a prominent place being the heart of the whole system an ultra-compact AEQ CAPITOL_IP mixer through which all the signals produced there pass. Given the level of operators of the station, it has been decided to install AEQ technology for its robustness and simple operation.
AEQ CAPITOL IP is an 8-channel fixed configuration Digital Audio mixing console. In CAPITOL IP the implementation of IP connectivity is based on a single module of 16 input and 16 output channels, incorporated in its core. One of the main qualities of AEQ CAPITOL IP is the wide input capacity available: 4 micro/line, 12 analog, 4 digital stereo AES/EBU (AES3), 2 digital stereo USB, 2 optional telephone lines, and optional digital multichannel audio links; 16 AoIP channels over two ethernet connectors or 64 MADI channels input over optical fiber.
The AEQ CAPITOL console is very popular in municipal broadcasters around the world, as it offers digital technology with IP functions, supporting the latest features demanded by the market, but with a very simple and especially robust operation, which makes it the perfect unit for these local studios and their particular management.
Radio Vitamenia continues today with enthusiasm its project of proximity radio, open to new technologies, new ideas, and new people in the form of its large family of collaborators who make possible such a rich programming.
