Λος 'Αντζελες, Καλιφόρνια - Ο Ηθοποιός-Παραγωγός Priyanka Chopra Jonas και ο Τραγουδιστής, Συνθέτης και Ηθοποιός Nick Jonas ανακοίνωσαν τις υποψηφιότητες για τα 93α Βραβεία Oscars® την 15η Μαρτίου, ζωντανά από το Λονδίνο, μέσω παγκόσμιου live stream στα Oscar.com, Oscars.org, τις ψηφιακές πλατφόρμες της Ακαδημίας, διεθνούς δορυφορικής feed και broadcast μέσων.
Η Chopra Jonas και ο Jonas ανακοίνωσαν τις υποψηφιότητες σε 23 κατηγορίες.
Τα Μέλη της Ακαδημίας από τα 17 branches ψηφίζουν για να καθορίσουν τους υποψηφίους στις αντίστοιχες κατηγορίες τους - οι ηθοποιοί επιλέγουν ηθοποιούς, οι μοντέρ κινηματογραφικών ταινιών επιλέγουν μοντέρ κ.ο.κ. Στις κατηγορίες ταινιών κινουμένων σχεδίων και ταινιών μεγάλου μήκους, οι υποψήφιοι επιλέγονται από τη ψηφοφορία πολλών επιτροπών των branches. Όλα τα Μέλη που ψηφίζουν έχουν το δικαίωμα να επιλέξουν τους υποψηφίους για το Βραβείο Καλύτερης Ταινίας.
Τα ενεργά Μέλη της Ακαδημίας έχουν δικαίωμα ψήφου για τους Νικητές και στις 23 κατηγορίες, από την Πέμπτη 15 Απριλίου έως την Τρίτη 20 Απριλίου 2021.
Η Τελετής Απονομής των 93ων Βραβείων Όσκαρ θα πραγματοποιηθεί την Κυριακή, 25 Απριλίου 2021, στο Union Station Los Angeles και στο Dolby® Theatre στο Hollywood & Highland Center® του Χόλιγουντ και θα μεταδοθεί ζωντανά από το ABC στις 8 μ.μ. ET / 5 μ.μ. PT. Η Τελετή Απονομής θα μεταδοθεί ζωντανά σε περισσότερες από 225 χώρες και περιοχές σε όλον τον κόσμο.
