DVS celebrates its 25th anniversary
For the past 25 years, DVS has equipped the movie industry with cutting-edge German engineered technology. Today, DVS cultivates the same "passion for perfection" philosophy it established on its first day and continues to deliver powerful solutions to its clients. The three founders - among them Hans-Ulrich Weidenbruch - already recognized the importance of digital video technology in the 80s and after only one year in business, unveiled the worlds first semiconductor storage for image sequences in HDTV. Breaking several technological barriers, DVSs product portfolio today is vast, including an array of advanced turnkey video and storage solutions and video boards. Look out for the next 25 years of technological innovation with DVS!
DVS Down Under - lightning speed for Motionlink
When the Australian company Motionlink headed for the business of distributing DCPs for cinema, they were faced with the challenges of DCP packaging and DCP workflows - regarding speed and performance. When integrating DVSs CLIPSTER® into their pipeline, they benefitted immensely from the DI workstations DCI wizard that guides through all DCI Mastering steps. They experienced an excessive extension of product range and services, a high-speed workflow and top-
range security. Well supported by DVSs DI workstation, Motionlink is now able to create DCPs at lightning speed, QC the whole process reliably and provide a brand new area of business. Grant Salinger, MD at Motionlink: "When DVS demonstrated their DCP packaging, it became crystal clear to us that this intelligent DCI workflow could not be matched by any other competitive solution. Were still ecstatic that within 1 hour of their delivery, the DVS unit was underway producing DCPs for the Wiggles cinema tour."
